From the Laundry Pile – Great Kiterature

Snoop, our fat black god of pleasure and shedding has a few theories about living the good life and the meaning of it.  Today’s subject – shedding.  Cat-kind’s gift to laundry, he assures me, is not just for his benefit. It’s a sign of spring, which should make repeating a load or three of sheets something to add under the ‘Thankful’ column.  I’m allowed to worship at his feet too.

April Common Thread Give-a-Way

FullSizeRender

Okay, so April showers aren’t bringing any flowers to Vermont, but we are still doing a  Common Thread give away this month (that should get ’em blooming).

This month’s artist, Kathleen Nohe, is new to the group. Kathleen’s blog is Wearable Earth Jewelry  and she is giving away a set of green aventurine earrings and necklace (as good a pick me up as flowers). According to Kathleen, “the stone is a gentle comforting and supporting stone. All round healer and calmer. It helps to stimulate emotional recovery and see alternatives and possibilities. It is good for those who need to step out of their comfort zones.” She calls it “a heart chakra stone, gentling balancing without causing turbulence.”

To win this beautiful set,  visit Kathleen’s blog between now and Wednesday evening and leave a comment. The winner will be announced on Thursday morning.

Please be sure to check out the other participating artists as well:

Jane McMillenJon Katz, Maria Wulf and Kim Gifford.
