It’s Veterans Day in the US, Armistice Day in Europe and other places, and I’m thinking of all that those who served have given. I also find myself thinking, as always, about what our human race has lost by constantly letting our leaders constantly settle for another war to end all wars and rarely seeking that elusive peace to end all wars.
So today I thank the people who have willingly offered their live to their countries for the noblest purposes – protecting the people they love, and I pray that the people to whom our veterans and soldiers entrust their futures will honor sacrifice and courage with an honest pursuit of peace.
